About GM Auctions

SmartAuction is an online auction that provides GM dealers access to high-quality, nonreconditioned* pre-owned vehicles from Ally and GM, as well as pre-owned vehicles offered by GM dealers. With a live-bid format,  SmartAuction makes it easy to get the vehicle you want before the competition ever has a chance. Active bidding on SmartAuction occurs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. ET (9:30 in Western states), with a 30-minute extended auction period for active vehicles beginning at 2:30 p.m. Vehicles are also offered for sale at fixed prices Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

SmartAuction and SmartAuction Direct are available to U.S. GM dealers. With SmartAuction Direct, eligible GM dealers can sell vehicles from their own inventories right on SmartAuction. To learn more about both programs, contact your local Ally representative or call 877-273-5572.

*Nonreconditioned vehicles are vehicles that are in essentially the same condition as when they were turned in by the original owner. This means no repairs or cleanup (other than ordinary maintenance, e.g., car wash) have been performed.
