  • Certified Used Vehicles
    Beginning April 1, 2008 GM Certified Used Vehicles, Cadillac Certified Pre-Owned, Hummer Certified Pre Owned, and Saab Certified Pre Owned programs announced new Alternative APR GMAC financing programs. All programs run through 6/30/08.
  • GM Certified Used Vehicles alternative APR financing rates for qualified buyers are as low as 2.9% for up to 48 months or 3.9% up to 60 months on all models and trim levels for the following vehicles: Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR, Silverado, Suburban, Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, Sierra, and Pontiac G6. In addition a 4.9% Alternative APR rate for up to 60 months is available on all models and trim levels for the following vehicles: Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, and TrailBlazer, Pontiac Grand Prix, Buick Lacrosse and GMC Envoy, that are certified and sold during this program period. Eligible vehicles for the alternative APR financing rates must be certified and sold to qualified customers by June, 30 2008. Other non select models that are certified and sold during this timeframe have an alternative APR rate of 7.9% for up to 60 months for qualified buyers.
  • Cadillac, Hummer & Saab Certified Pre Owned is offering alternative APR financing rates for qualified buyers as low as 1.9% for terms up to 36 months, 2.9% for terms up to 48 months, and 3.9% for terms up to 60 months on Cadillac CTS, DTS, SRX, STS, XLR, Escalade, EXT, ESV, Deville, and Seville; Hummer H2, H2 SUT, and H3; Saab 9-3, 9-5, 9-7X and 9-2X models that are certified and sold during this program period.     • Crossline Buying for 2007 Model Year Vehicles
      Effective January 1, 2008:

      • Crossline buying will be permitted for all titled 2007 Rental and Company vehicles. All vehicles on MSOs remain restricted to the appropriate GM line-make dealer.
      • From January 1st to July 31st current model year vehicles (2008) may be purchased only by same line-make dealers except as noted below. This restriction does not apply to GMAC Repossession, SmartBuy and SmartLease vehicles. Only the same line-make dealer may purchase vehicles on an MSO.

        • Rental Vehicles only
          January 1st through July 31st, current model year (2008 is used as the "current" model year in this example) rental vehicles with 12,000 miles or more offered and not sold ("passed") on SmartAuction may be purchased by any GM dealer regardless of line-make the second day the vehicle is offered on GMAC SmartAuction. If the vehicle is not sold on GMAC SmartAuction and is then offered for sale at the GM Sponsored Auction, regular crossline buying rules are in effect. When a rental vehicle is passed in the physical auction with 12,000 miles or more and is offered for sale a second time at the GM Sponsored Auction, it is eligible to be purchased by any GM dealer, regardless of line-make.
    • General Motors Recognizes Flint Auto Auction as 2007 GM Auction of the Year
      Used vehicle auction recognized for its overall success in reconditioning, repairs and presentation of vehicles at GM Sponsored Auctions


      FLINT, MI. - General Motors presented the 2007 GM Auction of the Year award to Flint Auto Auction. One of 40 GM Sponsored Auctions across the United States, Flint Auto Auction was recognized for its overall achievement in providing GM and its dealers with outstanding quality, service and value at GM Sponsored Auctions during 2007. This marks the first time that Flint Auto Auction has received this honor.

      Mark Mathews, director, GM Used Vehicle Activities, presented the 2007 GM Auction of the Year award yesterday evening to Bill Williams, Jr., president/co-owner, and John Luce, vice president/co-owner, Flint Auto Auction.

      "I'm pleased to present this award to Bill, John and the entire Flint Auto Auction staff," said Mathews. "The GM Auction of the Year award recognizes outstanding overall achievement in reconditioning, repairs and presentation of GM used vehicles to our dealers. Flint Auto Auction has shown the effort, determination and teamwork to provide consistently outstanding service and great products for GM dealers."

      "I speak on behalf of the entire staff at Flint Auto Auction when I say this is a great honor and a significant day for us," said Williams. "I'm proud to accept this award on behalf of every employee who has had a role in this achievement,"

      "All of us here are serious about providing top-notch customer service," said Luce. "And we work hard to deliver value for both buyers and sellers at the auction every day."

      Over the last two years, Flint Auto Auction has risen from 25th place in 2005 among GM Sponsored Auctions to 15th place in 2006 to the top ranking in 2007, when Flint Auto Auction sold more than 10,000 used vehicles at GM Sponsored Auctions sales and GMAC open sales. Flint Auto Auction has been part of the GM Sponsored Auctions program since 2001.
